Mira's Baking Adventures: The Unicorn Cake - Paperback

by Liana Grey (Author)

An early reader chapter book that explores STEM through an entertaining story about baking.

Grandma Rose's birthday is coming up, and Mira wants to surprise her with a homemade cake shaped like a unicorn (because who doesn't love unicorns?) But Mira has never used a recipe before! She faces all sorts of baking mysteries: What does 1/2 mean? How do you measure flour? How do you turn a rectangular sheet cake into a unicorn? And how much allowance money will be left after buying special ingredients?

With help from her older sister Layla, Mira learns that recipes are like puzzles waiting to be solved. Each ingredient teaches her something new about fractions, measurement, and following directions.

Mira's Baking Adventures: The Unicorn Cake makes math engaging and accessible, and is perfect for young readers who love hands-on learning, problem-solving, and stories about kids who don't give up!
