About Michael Dalton McCoy

Author Michael McCoy, a former 18-year resident of Big Sky Country, lives in Teton Valley, Idaho, where on a clear day he can still see Montana. His outdoor and travel writing has appeared in Snow Country, Men's Journal, Bicycling, Montana, and other national and regional publications, and he serves as editor of Jackson Hole magazine and field editor of Adventure Cyclist magazine. McCoy's Globe Pequot books include The Wild West and Journey to the Northern Rockies, and he edited Classic Cowboy Stories for the Lyons Press. He has also written for the National Geographic Book Division. His website is emptyhighways.com. Reviser Ednor Therriault is a writer and musician whose writing can be seen in Mountain Outlaw, Distinctly Montana, and other area publications. His Montana roots run deep--his great-great-grandparents homesteaded on Douglas Creek in Granite County in the 1880s. Ednor's first book, Montana Curiosities, was published by Globe Pequot in 2010, updated in the second edition in 2016. His other books include Myths and Legends of Yellowstone, Big Sky, Big Parks, Haunted Montana and Seven Montanas. Under his stage name Bob Wire, Ednor has released several albums of original music, and he plays frequent shows around the Northwest. He lives with his wife in Missoula.
