Naan the Wiser: A Laughing Loaf Bakery Mystery - Paperback

by Victoria Kazarian (Author)

At River Grove's first chess tournament, Gracie Markley must solve an impossible murder.

When Gracie agrees to cater her father's chess tournament at The Riverside Saloon, she thinks her biggest challenge will be perfecting her bakery's new lunch offering-a spicy, pressed sandwich made on naan bread called the "naanini."

But when chess champion Andrew Mehta is found dead in a room locked from the inside, the three-day tournament turns into a dangerous game of wits for Gracie.

Nearly all players in the tournament have a grudge against the unbeatable champion. Then a River Grove legend with a surprising motive ends up as the chief suspect. One wrong move could checkmate Gracie's investigation and lead to the arrest of an innocent man.

With a heat wave descending and a clock ticking, Gracie will need persistence and cunning to solve a murder that's anything but black and white.
