On Tuesday the Boxer Played Dead - Paperback

by Ann Russell (Author)

At this dog show, the killer isn't on a leash...

Welcome to the world of professional dog shows-where the competition is fierce, the stakes are high, and someone is playing a deadly game.

When veterinarian Casey Gibbons takes her Boxer, Scout, to a local dog show for some fun and tail-wagging, the last thing she expects is a front-row seat to tragedy. A champion German Shepherd collapses mid-show in a terrifying fit-and dies within minutes. The official cause? "Natural." But Casey knows better.

Soon, the dog's devastated owner turns up dead, and Casey can't shake the feeling that someone is out to silence anyone who asks too many questions. With her clever canine Scout, her Episcopal priest boyfriend Jack, and a crew of eccentric allies, Casey dives into a world of toxic rivalries, social media threats, and dark secrets hidden behind best-in-show smiles.

As the list of suspects grows longer than a prize poodle's pedigree, Casey must outsmart a killer who's already two steps ahead-and willing to kill again.

Smart, heartwarming, and hilariously observant, On Tuesday the Boxer Played Dead is the second book in the Casey & Scout Mystery series. Perfect for fans of cozy mysteries with strong female leads, adorable dogs, slow-burn romance, and a bite of dark humor.
