Palladium - Paperback

The extraordinary story of Rick and his business partner, Baa, joining with some disparate Russians to use a Liechtenstein company to make $390 million dollars in less than two years from palladium, a lesser known precious metal in the platinum group that is mined mostly inside Russia where its stocks are a state secret. Insights and revelations are triggered as the story traverses the Amazon, London, Russia's Kaliningrad enclave, Paris, the Mediterranean, Uruguay, L.A. and Chile's Atacama desert. Private jets and good food mix with sex, tragedy and human susceptability; many of the background occurences are factual but all the characters are all fictional, Sasenic's story shows that in both the world of brute matter and the complicated lives of human beings opposites are eternal and fundamental to existence. The story offers some novel takes on the parallels between physics, psychology and business.
