Author Biography

The author, Cassandra Dixon, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia State University and is originally from Crewe, VA. Cassandra is the second oldest of five sisters and has always been an avid reader and writer, beginning with journals as a teenager. Cassandra writes to escape, dream and to honor those most important to her. The love of her father inspired her to write her first children's book. Cassandra is married to Aaron P. Dixon Jr. and collectively, they have three adult children and one granddaughter. Cassandra handcrafts wooden bookmarks and placards in her spare time and continues to work in the Human Service field.
