Petro the Brave Little Cargo Plane - Paperback

Petro was the smallest airplane to ever enter the county air race. But that didn't matter to Maxie, the farm boy who built him. Constructed of metal salvaged from a silo struck by a fallen star, Petro has a special power-and an exciting story that takes us on a journey of perilous ups and downs. The little plane has encounters with a band of conniving crows, a frightful Kerplunkity-plunk crushing machine and a terrifying thunderstorm-all of which leads to the real purpose of his special power (and it's something far more important than any air race!) With 62 color illustrations, a little Christmas and a surprise ending, Petro is a tale that will inspire and delight young readers for years to come.
