Poems From Cardboard City - Paperback

For 35 years, Alan Zoltie has worked and mingled with the country's homeless community, at first in the UK and then, after moving to California in 1991, in the USA. His experiences, some of which are vividly depicted in his previous novel Cardboard City, (available at alanzoltie.com and amazon.com), are described in this book, through his poetic prowess and ability to put down in verse, the trials and tribulations of what it's like living on the wicked, violent streets of our modern inner cities. Rough, and extremely descriptive, the poems from Cardboard City will give you, the reader, a better understanding of the characters who endlessly roam our streets and the traumatic toll of being homeless in 2022, can effect, not only their lives, but ours as well.
