Pray Standing - Paperback

A fascinating account of a life begun in Hong Kong, rooted in a family influenced equally by ancient Chinese tradition and modern Western perspective. Frank Ling survived the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, went on to flirt with a career in show business, overcame college and career challenges in Britain and Southeast Asia, fast-tracked through Harvard, and finally fulfilled the Canadian destiny that had been foretold for him by a blind fortune teller. That destiny would earn him the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada Medal, the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal, the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and membership in the Order of Canada. Frank Ling's story is a seven-decade love story that celebrates commitment to family and to community near and far.
