Rev. Brandan Robertson is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, as well as an author, activist, and public theologian working at the intersections of spirituality, sexuality, and social renewal. Known as the "TikTok Pastor," his inclusive theological content has reached over 300,000 followers and garnered more than 7 million views across digital platforms. A prolific writer, Robertson has authored, edited, or contributed to 26 books on spirituality, justice, and theology. His work has been featured in major outlets including TIME Magazine, The Huffington Post, NBC, and The Washington Post. He currently serves as a columnist for Baptist News Global and Progressing Spirit, the newsletter founded by renowned bishop and theologian John Shelby Spong. Robertson is a widely recognized voice in progressive faith conversations. His insights have been featured on CNN, NPR, MSNBC, and The New York Times, and he is regularly invited to speak at institutions such as The White House, Oxford University, and the Parliament of the World's Religions. A committed advocate for LGBTQ+ equality, Robertson has worked with global leaders and grassroots movements to help end conversion therapy and champion the rights of sexual and gender minorities. The Human Rights Campaign has recognized him as one of the nation's leading faith voices advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion. He is a founding member of The Union of Affirming Christians, a Patron of One Body, One Faith (UK), and an advisor to The Center for Progressive Christianity, LOVEBoldly, The Global Interfaith Commission on LGBTQ+ Lives, and The Ozanne Foundation US. Robertson's leadership has been sought by major institutions, serving on advisory committees for the Democratic National Convention, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry and Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute, a Master of Theological Studies from Iliff School of Theology, and a Master of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration from Eastern Illinois University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Biblical Studies at Drew University and lives in New York City.
