Richard Henry Lee and The Lee Resolution - Paperback

The story of American independence is often told through a narrow lens, focused on a handful of familiar names. Yet the birth of the United States was not the work of a few - it was the collective effort of many remarkable individuals whose courage, intellect, and conviction shaped the destiny of a continent.

Among these figures stands Richard Henry Lee, a statesman whose voice sparked the very idea of American independence. His introduction of the Lee Resolution on June 7, 1776, set in motion the events that led to the Declaration of Independence. Though he was not present for the drafting or signing of the final document, his resolution provided its structure, its purpose, and its moral foundation.

This book is part of the Lee's Lost Lineage series, an effort to restore the stories of the Lee family to their rightful place in American history. Through careful research and narrative storytelling, this volume brings Richard Henry Lee's contributions back into the light, offering readers a fuller understanding of the nation's origins.

As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, it is more important than ever to revisit the lives of those who shaped its founding. Their stories remind us that liberty is not an inheritance but a responsibility - one that must be renewed by each generation.

Richard Henry Lee's voice helped give birth to a nation.

It is time that voice is heard again.
