Fox Strongbow is in training to become an elite guardian known as a Sentinel. Through Eldin's memories, Drago learns the location of a key that unlocks an ancient artifact said to be more powerful than anything in the world. Drago will stop at nothing to obtain this artifact and the power it could bestow upon him. Fox, along with an elven wizard named Enob and two agents from the Incantation Enforcement Agency, take on a quest to stop Drago before he can recover the object that was never meant to be found.
