Shattered Dreams - Paperback

Alana Inacio, a breathtakingly beautiful Afro-Brazilian model, dreamt of becoming an international model. Her career was on the eve of taking flight until it gruesomely came to a shattering end. Alana had only one dream, and with the help of her assistant and a well known local photographer it was seemingly coming true. Her best friend Skyler Sutton, an ex-model in her own right, shows up in South Beach unannounced with a murky past that erupts with a heavy payout, the life of her childhood best friend. As Skyler stares into Alana's infamous mirrored wall reflecting her once beautiful body drenched in blood, her horrified mind races in search for a reason. She panics after seeing the murderers shadow and leaves hastily. Dade County's hot tempered homicide cop, Lt. Garcia is assigned to a case just weeks before his retirement. He is notorious for solving all of his cases. But with no murder weapon, motive, concrete evidence or a suspect, nothing is adding up, except for everyone's alibi.... or does it? Lt. Garcia studies the one vital piece of information he kept concealed and looks for the suspect himself. Could Alana's demise have been the result of betrayal and family secrets? As the pieces of the puzzle come together, he learns that there is no real loyalty when the love of money comes into play, it only Shatters Dreamz. Shattered Dreams is a tale full of underlying secrets and motives. Everyone has an alibi, a story, a reason and an explanation but no one is to be trusted. This entrée is quite the meal, a plate of suspects, a bowl of lies, a cup of envy with a spoonful of hope, pinch of love and a dash of betrayal, but the server of this meal is the one who holds the truth.
