Shifts: More than 30 true stories and life lessons from twenty-four years as a cop on the beat - Paperback

Often gritty, sometimes quite funny, always resolute...men and women who wear the badge of law enforcement never have a "routine shift." These are the stories behind the scenes and on the scene, captured by Stratis Skoufalos throughout his 24 years as a big-city cop.

The author's personal journal notes, combined with his straight-talk street cop writing style, create the most authentic reader experience as you "ride along" shift after shift. Each event and encounter is unique and intense in its own way: sometimes horrifying, sometimes hilarious, often heart-warming.

"Riveting! While reading these stories I actually felt I was right alongside the author experiencing exactly what he did. Surreal, challenging, and true to life."
