Sins of Solnexus - Paperback

by Steph Ziders (Author)

Maybe the nation deserves to burn. In Solnexus, vampires, werewolves, fae, and humans live divided by blood, walls, and brutal law. Purebreds rule. The Impure survive...if they're lucky. Now, in its Seventh Age, Solnexus's prejudice gap has grown into the deepest chasm. Calista Alexander is human, abandoned, and fresh out of mercy. Her only priorities are staying alive and protecting her teenaged, werewolf, "adopted sister", Onyx. On the night of her twenty-first birthday, Cali's world is thrown upside-down. A seemingly easy job goes awry, Onyx is arrested, and Cali's star-shaped birthmark morphs into a magical tattoo. When a mysterious soldier, Kash Davenport, demands she travel to the capital city, Soulmere, to meet with the High Leaders, because she's the prophesied savior of Solnexus, Cali sees an opportunity. To make matters worse, Cali starts to feel things for Kash. Emotions are weaknesses and physical touch is a definite no-no, but Kash is different. As rebellion ignites, Cali must choose: save a broken nation...or let it burn.
