Book Overview

by Donna E. Lane (Author)

In the powerful conclusion to the sweeping trilogy of loss, courage, and redemption, the Second World stands on the brink of annihilation as its volatile sky light swells toward catastrophic explosion. With nowhere left to flee, the battered remnant must attempt the impossible: carry the sacred sphere to the hidden altar atop the high mountain, break the Temporal seal, and open a portal to the First World before their home is consumed in fire.

But the mountain offers no refuge.

The Dark Lord has claimed it as his stronghold, surrounded by the followers he deceived and armed with every power at his command. Determined to stop the remnant-or bend them to his will-he prepares for a final confrontation that will decide the fate of not one world, but two.

As survivors from every side converge on the plains below the mountain, alliances are tested and loyalties laid bare. Strength falters. Courage wavers. And the cost of pressing forward grows heavier with every step.

To stand against overwhelming darkness, the sphere-bearers must unite with the Whisperers and embrace a truth long forgotten: victory will not come through power. Only sacrifice, love, and unwavering faith can break the seal and save them.

As sky light flares and the end draws near, one question remains:

Will the light endure-or will it fall forever?
