Author A. P. Doty was born in Calgary, Alberta, schooled in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and is now based in Toronto, Ontario. An award-winning writer and enthusiastic educator, A. P. Doty lives on the bluffs with her husband, two kids, and a Golden Retriever named Nikita.

Artist P. W. Thompson studied Environmental Design and enjoys a variety of creative outlets, including drawing, painting, conceptual design, building, and strumming. His work uses a mix of traditional and digital media, with a particular love for graphite. As an illustrator, P. W. Thompson uses a balance of imagination, research, ​and experience to find original direction throughout the creative process.​
