Author Biography

An MBBS doctor, Nadi has worked with women patients from lower socio-economic status groups for ten years. During her course in Women's Studies in Pune University, her article 'The Health Patterns of Indian Muslim women' won the prize for best essay. This was followed by a course in Screenplay Writing at the FTII. She has presented a paper on the Women Characters in the Screenplays of Vijay Tendulkar at the First Indian Screenwriters' Conference. Nadi lives in Pune with the scientist Girish Palshikar. They have one daughter, Mukta.
