The Bear and the Stork - Paperback

by Amanda Kimberley (Author)

A wounded bear, a weary stork, and the Christmas fate refuses to let them miss.

Agent Stan Dutetre has spent years accidentally pairing off everyone in his unit, earning him the teasing nickname TLC, much to his chagrin. But behind it all is a man who quietly rebuilt his life after tragedy. Losing his wife and raising his daughter alone taught him that fate doesn't give second chances... at least, not to him.

Then he meets Command Sergeant Major Kalliopi Kouris, a MILF-Milos Infantry Liaison to Furry United Coalition-he wasn't prepared for, and can't resist.

Kallie is brilliant, disciplined, and maddeningly fearless, traits that make her outstanding at covert operations and absolutely terrible for Stan's peace of mind. She's a colleague. A fellow agent. A woman who runs straight toward danger. And she's his mate.

But the holidays hit Kallie harder than any mission. She's lost too much to celebrate, and Christmas only reminds her of everything she no longer has. Stan never expected to get another shot at love-and he certainly never expected to be the one teaching someone else how to embrace the season again.

As threats close in, snow begins to fall, and the people he once matched start meddling in his love life, Stan must choose whether to protect his heart... or finally claim the future-and the Christmas-fate is offering him.
