The Berenstain Bears discover various construction vehicles in this heavy-duty addition to the classic New York Times bestselling series.

Gramps takes Brother, Sister, and Honey around town with Big Jake to learn all about construction vehicles. They see different types of machines workers use at construction sites, farms, and even in the woods. These are certainly no ordinary machines--they are big machines!

The Berenstain Bears' Big Machines is a Level One I Can Read book, which means it's perfect for children learning to sound out words and sentences.

Stan and Jan Berenstain began writing the Berenstain Bears series in 1962, with The Big Honey Hunt. Since then more than 250 Berenstain Bears books have been published, and sales of their series have exceeded 260 million copies. Stan and Jan have left behind a legacy of arguably the best-selling children's book series ever. Making the books has long been a family affair, with son Mike writing and illustrating new stories about everyone's favorite bear family. About Mike Berenstain

Mike Berenstain is an author and illustrator of children's books. He is the son of Stan and Jan Berenstain, creators of the popular Berenstain Bears series of picture books. Like Stan and Jan before him, Mike draws on his own experiences as a parent (and, now, grandparent) to inspire the family themes he writes about--including Baby Berenstain Bears, a new line of adorable board books for the very youngest fans. He lives and works in the rolling countryside of Eastern Pennsylvania--a place that looks very much like Berenstain Bear Country.
