The Blue Bitch is a collection of short stories that examines family patterns of misunderstanding, love, and forgiveness. The narrator, a daughter and single mother, often finds herself torn between her affection for her aging parents, her attempts to reconcile a sometimes painful childhood, and her grown up responsibilities to her child and her work.
