The Blue Trabant - Paperback

by James Dargan (Author)

East Berlin, 1986. The Wall casts its long shadow over a city of surveillance, secrets, and fear. When young women begin to vanish, their bodies found ritually mutilated, whispers spread of a man in a blue Trabant prowling the streets.

Assigned to the case is Lisanne Sen , a sharp but compromised Stasi officer with her own dark past. Paired with Tobias Engel, a weary detective who has lost faith in the Party, and aided by Anja Richter, a reckless young journalist hungry for the truth, Lisanne soon discovers the killings aren't just the work of a lone madman. They may be the product of the State itself-hidden behind files, erased names, and the endless machinery of propaganda.

In a world where files vanish, witnesses are silenced, and even truth itself can be outlawed, Lisanne must decide whether to obey the State-or betray it. Because in Berlin, 1986, betrayal is survival.

Perfect for readers of Gorky Park and fans of Cold War thrillers, The Blue Trabant blends psychological horror with historical noir to create a haunting portrait of obsession, power, and the ghosts that walls can never contain.
