The Clean - Paperback

by Hope Swan (Author)

The society of Lait is divided into two distinct groups:

The Clean are the social elites, living in the comfort of the First and Second Quarters. Free to live however they please, they enjoy Lait's offerings.

Written are shunned, forced into the Third Quarter and distinguished by three or more 'designations' - markings on the skin that reveal trauma, illness, injury, or disability -

things completely out of their control.

When a university program for the smartest Written is announced, Scarlett is incredibly sceptical. She's in her second year when an ill-fated meeting with the Prince brings his stubborn bodyguard into her orbit.

A Clean and a Written. Destined to be separated. Drawn together by fate.

Will their budding relationship blow up their own lives, or bring their very society down around them?
