Book Overview

The murder of B.O.I. Special Agent, Paul E. Reynolds, on August 9, 1929, in Phoenix, Arizona, initiated a long and intensive state-wide search and investigation. To date, his is still the only unsolved murder of an FBI agent.

Letsea Brechenworth has a secret, and she's not telling.

As administrator of her ancestral St. Charles, Missouri estate, Letsea's mindful of its future, leaving her own heartfelt dreams on hold. When she hears the voice of the ghost of a deceased family connection, she changes her life's direction.

Despite her busy schedule, Letsea promises to help the spirit find peace about a decades old murder and alleged cover-up. Then a fortunate meeting with a notable private detective, fills Letsea with new hope of finding romance.

Undercover Special Agent Godrick Lockhart is pulled from his Christmas vacation to discover Miss Brechenworth's interest in the murder of FBI Agent Reynolds, nearly a century beforehand.

He observes her at the famed Whispering Arch in the Grand Hall of St. Louis' Union Station. After an awkward introduction, he manages to interview the elegant heiress.

He wants more.

Will lies and secrets keep Letsea and Lockhart from spending a lifetime together?
