The Directive Detectives: The Freedom Trail Directive - Paperback

by G. Savo (Author)

A hidden room. A forgotten file. A mystery waiting to be rediscovered.

Eleven-year-old Maddy Torres spends more time in the Boston Public Library than almost anyone her age. While exploring a little-used section of the historic building, she discovers a long forgotten hidden room, inside it, a collection of old files left behind by a group of kids from the 1980s known as the Directive Detectives.

One file stands out.

Directive File 001: Freedom Trail.

Joined by her friends Evelyn, Darnel, and Jin, Maddy follows the clues across Boston, visiting the city's most famous landmarks and uncovering the stories hidden behind them. From Boston Common and Old South Meeting House to Old North Church, the Paul Revere House, Bunker Hill, and the USS Constitution, each stop reveals another piece of a mystery that is larger than any of them expected.

What begins as a search for answers soon becomes something more. As the friends explore the city, they discover that history is not just a collection of buildings and dates. It is a story about people, ideas, courage, communication, and the decisions that shape the future.

Perfect for readers who enjoy adventure, mystery, friendship, and real history, The Freedom Trail Directive launches a new middle-grade series that brings Boston's past to life while inspiring readers to look at the world around them in a whole new way.

The adventure begins with Directive File 001.
