The Doe Family Finds a Deer - Paperback

Tammera Donovan wrote this book after having been a North Carolina-permitted fawn rehabilitator. She has told the heartfelt tale of the fawn named Marteen in two ways: one in which the family made the decision to keep the fawn and the second when the family decided to take the fawn back to where they found him. Her exquisite nature photography brings this story to life. She hopes that her book will further educate the public to save more forest babies. She has explained well why wild animals are more likely to survive if they remain in their natural habitats with their mothers. "The Doe Family Finds a Deer" is a touching book for children and adults alike. This well-crafted story offers real-life lessons about making decisions and living with the consequences of those decisions. It's gut-wrenching, thought-provoking, and educational all at once. You'll want to read this story again and again.
