While growing up as one of thirteen siblings, Florence learned early about the values of community and resilience. Her career in education was a profession and a calling to foster mindfulness and curiosity in every student. Her work is known for its heart-literally-as she includes a small red heart on the pages of her books to encourage readers to find love and mindfulness in their daily lives.
