Bobby the rabbit wants to be "the greatest animal impersonator of all," but everybody he impersonates objects to his activities thinking he is making fun of them, including the mayor of their town, Mr. Groundhog. His discouragement leads him to make the decision to quit practicing his impersonations. Then when Groundhog Day arrives and the mayor is too sick to meet the press to discover whether he can see his shadow, Bobby Rabbit is called upon to don his costume, and he saves the day!
