The Masked Rider Archives, Volume 4 - Paperback

by George C. Shedd (Author), Jack Drummond (Author), Monroe Eisenberg (Illustrator)

Altus Press continues its rescue of the Masked Rider's rare early yarns from Ranger Publications, one of Martin Goodman's first ventures. The Rider is more than a hard-riding Western vigilante; he's also one of the earliest masked heroes tied to the publishing line that would evolve into Marvel Comics-often cited as a direct precursor to Marvel's later superheroes. Volume 4 plunges him into greed, gunplay, and frontier lawlessness, restoring two rare serials in uncut form with their original illustrations and new material on the series and Ranger Publications. Whether outwitting outlaws or riding into a town run wild, the Masked Rider remains the relentless defender of a violent, unsettled West.
