The Murder of Roger Ackroyd - Paperback

It's Agatha Christie for the newest generation of mystery readers.

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, an annotation of Agatha Christie's book, is just as exciting to read now as it was when the Queen of Crime penned the original in 1925.

The story places the reader in the quaint English country village of King's Abbot. A suicide and then the murder of a wealthy businessman and prominent citizen Roger Ackroyd shatter the setting's peace and beauty. Respected country doctor James Sheppard, the story's narrator, investigates the circumstances of Roger's death along with his new neighbor, retired Belgian detective Hercule Poirot.

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd isn't just a murder mystery, though. The story includes family tensions, blackmail, drug addiction, a secret marriage, a forced engagement, and past indiscretions come to light.

Enhancing the reading experience, this version of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd offers enlightening bonus material about the people, places, and things mentioned within its pages. Included are pictures, recipes, definitions, and historical background, allowing the reader to more fully enjoy the tale.
