The People of Pilgrim's Progress - Paperback

by Shi-Ryong Park (Author)

A stunning fusion of art, science, and faith.

In The People of Pilgrim's Progress, scientist and artist Professor Shi-Ryong Park offers a deeply personal and visually rich interpretation of John Bunyan's timeless allegory. Through delicate watercolours painted on traditional Korean paper, Park reimagines Bunyan's characters while tracing his own modern-day spiritual journey-a path marked by doubt, struggle, and renewal.

As a man of science, Park wrestled with faith in the face of academic skepticism, challenged by voices like Darwin, Dawkins, and Wilson. His turning point came amidst the noise of modern life and fading ecological dreams, leading him-like Bunyan's Christian-toward redemption and rebirth in Christ.

Set against the backdrop of daily climbs up Seoul's Mount Inwang, Park's reflections on life, death, and eternity unfold in both image and word.

A rare and moving exploration of spiritual transformation, this book is a tribute to the enduring relevance of Bunyan's vision-and a remarkable contribution to contemporary Christian literature.
