The Prince and the Passion - Paperback

by Emilee Hines (Author)

The Prince and the Passion - Love and hate, perilous journeys, deceit, treachery and compassion swirl about medieval Russia as Russian Prince Vladimir sweeps aside pagan gods and brings Christianity to his kingdom. Talia, a young Slav woman, is captured during a raid on her village by Vladimir's troops, headed by Andrei. During the encounter, Talia wounds a warrior, Rognold, who vows revenge. She and the other captives are taken to Kiev and put to work, while they await transport to Byzantium where they are to be sold. In Kiev, Talia experiences a new world. She cares for her owner, Andrei, who considers her inferior (but also a valuable slave), yet she also hates him for enslaving her. He is attracted to her beauty and spirit. Talia realizes that without Andrei she is helpless against Rognold, who only wishes to torture and eventually kill her. So how can she be saved? That is the driving question in this fast-paced, historical novel.
