There's a Creature in the Garden - Hardcover

by Elowen Finch (Author)

In a quiet garden under a silvery moon, something unexpected is about to be discovered...

There's a Creature in the Garden is a gentle, enchanting bedtime story that invites young readers into a world where curiosity leads the way and small adventures unfold in the soft glow of night. When PawPaw the possum and her friends set out on their usual evening wander, they stumble upon something unusual-something warm, glowing, and entirely unfamiliar.

What follows is a tender, hush-filled moment of wonder, as the friends gather close and bravely take a peek inside a mysterious "nest." With a soft touch of humour and a comforting sense of safety, the story captures that magical childhood feeling of discovering something new-while reminding us that not everything needs to be understood to be appreciated.

Told in simple, lyrical language perfect for ages 2-5, and paired with beautifully understated, watercolour-style illustrations, this story is designed to be read slowly, savoured, and revisited night after night. The calming rhythm and gentle pacing make it an ideal addition to any bedtime routine.

At its heart, There's a Creature in the Garden is a story about curiosity, kindness, and knowing when to quietly step back and let the world rest. A timeless, soothing tale for little listeners-and the grown-ups who read to them.
