Book Overview

by K. E. Conlon (Author)

Thomas WyKliffe died and lost his ThunderBird Walking spirit somewhere in Grand Canyon. Now he wanders the rim, an unknowing ghost, trying to make sense of his life. He speaks into the wind hoping someone will help him piece together his fleeting memories so that he can take flight into a new realm. Unaware of the moment of his death, he wastes away with each passing day, not knowing he needs a rescuer before the lessons of his life fade away and he plunges forever into a dark chasm.

Inspired by a writer's true experiences living near Grand Canyon, ThunderBird Walking is an autobiographical novel laced with mystical horror and magical realism. This literary book tells an eclectic ghost story that takes the reader on a spiritual journey that stretches from North Carolina to Arizona and into the depths of one man's psyche.

Author Biography

K. E. Conlon is the pen name for an author who has a background in screenwriting and professional technical writing. In ThunderBird Walking he creates an in-depth character study of an introverted man who explores a world of ideas on solo hikes and walks in nature. Using journal entries from his own experiences, the author weaves autobiographical fiction with an unorthodox ghost story and connects the wonder of Grand Canyon to one man's inner landscape. The result is a book that challenges the reader to view the world from a different perspective, to give up the ghosts of the past and discover the resiliency of the human spirit.
