Toxic Delusion: Wild Crimes Mysteries - Two Prequel Stories - Paperback

by Belinda Pollard (Author)

Two perilous stories of the Australian outback. Two old friends heading towards a devastating reunion... if they can just survive the weekend.

Television reporter Callie Brown is far from her Sydney apartment, armed only with silk taffeta and stilettos for a glitzy awards night on the edge of the desert. Her key assignment: to make her famous partner look good. Will she yield to his demands and ignore the desperation in the eyes of a stranger who reaches out for help? More than her relationship is at risk; in the ruthless world of the gemfields, all that glitters might just get you killed.

In the lush Daintree rainforest at the pointy end of Australia, Jack Metcalf is hiking solo, getting in touch with his spiritual side-and a few leeches. When a cry pierces the tropical night, a cascade of traumatic events is unleashed. He will have to think fast and act even faster if he wants to save lives... including his own.

This pocket-sized book introduces the Wild Crimes Mysteries: when bad things happen in beautiful places.
