J. J. Allen is from Winter Park, Florida, but has lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for more than twenty years. She is the mother of four and grandmother of nine. This is her second children's book. She is also a motivational writer for women and founder and primary contributor for the She Key Society.
