NYC: a metropolis of 8 million people; 500 disappear each year. Of those, three dead end case files lie open on Special Agent Roy Esteban's desk. Who are they? Why doesn't anyone know they're gone and why does no one care? Lack of leads and an ASAC that wants the cases closed drives the FBI agent to take on an unorthodox partner in Researcher Debra Chorister. Together they track an unwholesome alliance between corporate science and government healthcare. And those three lone individuals? They're not the only ones who can't be found. --------- What does a former newspaper publisher do when journalists won't cover the facts? Write about it. That's what Kristenev is doing in the Baron Series. Read all four books: "Land Barons" - Environmental politics and land scams lead to murder; "Gold Baron" - A journalist uncovers the ugly, and deadly, underbelly of national politics; "Energy Barons" - Explosions trigger blackouts, disappearances and death in the West; and the new release that closes the cycle of stand-alone political suspense novels, "Blood Barons" - Vanishings connect sordid research and a primordial treasure hunt. You'll wonder if it's really fiction! Visit http: //ChangingWind.org where character Toddy Littman, legal researcher extraordinaire, blogs on today's news. His insights will shock you...
