Blood Oath - Paperback

by Jc Duncan (Author)

Born to be a great lord, sworn to die for vengeance.

Denmark, 982AD

At the end of the first millennium, the Baltic Sea knew a terror unlike any other: the Jomsvikings. Cast out by the rise of Christianity, exiled warriors with no homeland who lived by selling their steel for silver. They showed no fear, offered no mercy, and never fled from any foe.

A young boy called Vagn arrives at Jomsburg with nothing but a sword and a blood-sworn oath of vengeance. He comes to find his grandfather, their leader, and seeks to join the brotherhood. His reward will be a life of war, and the promise of revenge.

Once destined for lordship, Vagn finds his path shaped instead by loss and hardship. Death and grief guide him; steel and pain forge him. Among fellow exiles and hardened warriors, he must endure brutal trials and prove himself worthy. For the Jomsvikings are unmatched in battle, breakers of armies and kings. If he survives their tests, the path of revenge is his to walk, and he'll know no life but war.
