Dawn of Darkness - Paperback

by Julia Caesar (Author)

They were all doomed until the Sorceress remembered an ancient incantation, but as she chanted the forbidden words, what has Ikella unleashed on her unsuspecting world? Hidden in the brilliantly hued deserts of Pelshar are the clues to its secret past. Strict obedience to the "Way," has prevented their discovery until, engulfed in an apocalyptic storm, a party of Healers accidently fulfils ancient prophecy. Now launched on a perilous journey of self-discovery and emotional awakening, Ikella reaches far beyond her previously circumscribed existence, as she adopts a foundling of the Storm. Facing a choice between the child she loves, and the security of a world teetering on the brink of ecological disaster, she must discover why the word "Sandsinger" haunts her dreams, and how their very existence depends on finding a mysterious "Tapestry of Tten." The reader will agonize with her over baby Daro's future, relax in the reassuring company of an aged Apothecary, and be on the edge of their seats, waiting for the sequel, "Curse of Night."
