Daycare Shadows - Paperback

by Marialisa Demora (Author)

In the quiet peace of Willow Creek, Sunnybrook Cottage Daycare buzzes with giggles, crayons, and colorful dreams, until a child's shadowy sketches unveil a nightmare hidden in plain sight.

Theresa Daye-Reed cherishes her wedded bliss with charming librarian Alex, her foster daughter Emily's artistic flair, and the thriving daycare that's become a community cornerstone. But when an anonymous note begs for help deciphering a nephew's "wrong" drawings-filled with lurking shadows and eerie figures-Theresa's haven of hugs and story time spirals into a chilling enigma.

The cryptic artwork points to a web of family feuds, a forgotten estate on the town's outskirts, and whispers of a long-buried disappearance. Teaming up with Alex's research ability, Mia's street-smart insights, and even a reluctant Officer Daniels, Theresa navigates shadowy watchers, courtroom echoes, and her own budding family all while shielding her pint-sized charges from the encroaching dark.

But in a world where monsters lurk behind easels and playground slides, can Theresa illuminate the truth before the shadows swallow the light?

Daycare Shadows is a cozy mystery brimming with heartwarming small-town charm, hilarious kid quips, and spine-tingling suspense. Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author MariaLisa deMora crafts a sequel where the dangers are as deep as a child's imagination, and the resolutions lead to brighter tomorrows.
