Book Overview

by Jean Boles (Author), D. K. Morss (Author)

"I could slit your throat right now, you whore, and throw your body into Puget Sound. No one would ever know what happened to you! And you know I could do it, too, baby. I'm a cop, and I know how to do these things and not get caught." -Thirty-eight-year-old Rachel Goodrich, a survivor of domestic violence, has spent the last twelve years changing her life, keeping secrets, and trying to put her failed marriage behind her. One dark night she finds herself face-to-face with her abusive ex-husband and suffers a severe beating. Near death, her deceased grandparents reach out to help her transition to the other side. -Kenneth Hamilton, a cop and an ex-con, is determined to have Rachel back. If she doesn't submit, he will finish the job and she will be planted six feet under, "pushing up posies." He also recently took a shot at his other ex-wife, Debbie. He is on the lam and has nothing to lose. -Aaron Townsend, a Seattle coffee tycoon with his own secrets and wounds of the heart loves Rachel and would do anything to save her life and help her find natural healing through integration of mind, body, and spirit. FINAL DRIVE is a novel of real love, divergent personalities, paranormal, drama, and the process of the healing of heart and body.

About Jean Boles

Jenny Peters is one part of the sister duo responsible for the acclaimed book, 21 Songs in 6 Days: Learn Ululele the Easy Way. She stumbled upon the ukulele after finding 45 of them in one of her elementary school classrooms. Convinced she could turn her find into more than a whole lot of noise, she designed a program to teach all of her students to play successfully with only 30 minutes of class time a week. No one was more grateful than the teacher in the next classroom. A former private piano teacher in Chicago with a Masters in Piano Performance from the University of Illinois, Jenny now lives in Highland Park, Illinois. Married with three kids, she shares her home with three cats and more musical instruments than she would care to name. Contact Jenny at jenny@ukulele.io. Rebecca Bogart is the second half of the sister writing team. An acclaimed classical pianist, performer and teacher, Rebecca has been passionate about the piano and music her entire life. She has played for audiences in Italy, taught master classes at Harvard and won more than a few piano competitions. She made her solo debut at Carnegie Hall in early 2014.
