Book Overview

A routine transport becomes anything but routine. A space station maintenance worker finds himself fighting off an invasion. A routine test flight becomes a first contact situation. A weary soldier must save an abandoned child, more than once. A veteran mech pilot and his crew are betrayed by those they are sworn to protect. A stockpile of old rations is worth more than it seems. A young lieutenant commander finds herself using skills she didn't knew she had when a simple mission becomes much more than anyone expected.

Space opera and military science fiction were favorite genres of Caroljean Hansen, a long-time supporter of science fiction and fantasy conventions and events all around Utah, including Life, the Universe, & Everything. She worked at the Marriott Library at the University of Utah for decades, and she put a lot of effort into increasing literacy in Utah and beyond. She was a true pillar in the local community, a true example of glory and honor.
