I Never Wanted To Be A Teacher - Paperback

What happens when you dedicate your life to a job you never wanted in the first place-only to discover it's exactly where you were meant to be?

I Never Wanted To Be A Teacher is the raw, honest, and deeply personal story of Paul Vecchione, a reluctant educator who found himself on the front lines of America's teen mental health and substance abuse crisis. What began as a temporary career choice turned into a mission to help teens in crisis with compassion, truth, and a refusal to look away.

Through the voices of the students who changed him, the challenges that nearly broke him, and the revelations that transformed him, Vecchione brings readers inside the classroom, beyond the statistics, and into the heart of a national emergency.

From grief and burnout to hope and purpose, this is a journey of unexpected calling-and a rallying cry for anyone who believes we can do better for our kids.
