Lost River - Paperback

A deadly Toronto shooting compels U.S. and Canadian agencies to expose a major gun trafficking ring operating across the northern border. Undercover ATF agent Ernie Ritter, disguised as a local "beekeeper extraordinaire", hunts for a crucial lead while his boss, Katya, faces intense pressure in D.C.

Simultaneously, McPherson Foundation executive Kim Norby and new director Brad Swenson travel to rural Minnesota to vet a suspicious grant application from New Life school. Their innocent inquiry quickly lands them in the middle of an illegal border crossing, and spirals into a deadly confrontation with an isolationist, anti-government local who is prepared to defend his property with lethal force. As law enforcement closes in, Kim and Brad are caught in an explosive standoff that tests their limits and determines the future of their fledgling relationship.
