Book Overview

A road trip, a new romance, and a new start...

Frank and Maggie finally set out on the long-awaited journey they've dreamed of-time away, new horizons, and the freedom of the open road. But when Frank's sudden illness brings their travels to an abrupt halt, questions rise that neither of them expected to face. With the future uncertain, they must lean fully on God and trust His purpose, even when the way forward is unclear.

Back at Goddard Downs, change continues to reshape life on the station. Old faces return, new relationships begin to stir, and long-held dreams are tested. As choices loom and paths diverge, each member of the Goddard family must decide whether to cling to the familiar or step forward in faith.

Set against the rugged beauty of northern Australia, Slow Trek to Triumph, Book Five in the Sunburned Land Series, is a heartwarming Christian romance about endurance, new beginnings, and discovering that God's triumph often comes through life's most unexpected journeys.

About Juliette Duncan

Juliette Duncan is a Christian fiction author, passionate about writing stories that will touch her readers' hearts and make a difference in their lives. Although a trained school teacher, Juliette spent many years working alongside her husband in their own business, but is now relishing the opportunity to follow her passion for writing stories she herself would love to read. Based in Brisbane, Australia, Juliette and her husband have five adult children, seven grandchildren, and two elderly long haired dachshunds. Apart from writing, Juliette loves exploring the great world we live in, and has travelled extensively, both within Australia and overseas. She also enjoys social dancing and eating out. Juliette's first published series, "The Madeleine Richards Series", was written specifically for middle grade girls as she has a real interest in that age group, and she believes the more they can be encouraged to read good, wholesome books the better. Her most recent series is a Contemporary Christian romance set in England and Ireland.
