Surviving The Frontier - Paperback

by Stuart G. Yates (Author)

One man's code of honor clashes with the lawless brutality of a nation at war.

As the Civil War draws to a close, Reuben Cole transitions from a Union scout to a hunter of Confederate renegades. Cole's quest pits him against enemies who refuse to acknowledge defeat, and it's during this turbulent time that he crosses paths with Sterling Roose, forging an alliance with the legendary tracker that is to last and develop throughout the years.

Together, they face the notorious renegade 'Curly' Brookes, but it's the pursuit of the elusive and infamous William Quantrill that really tests Cole's mettle. Joining with the feared Union raider Edwin Terrell, the road Cole is on leads him toward an inevitable standoff that could result in the end of his journey.

The fourth book in Stuart G. Yates's series of Westerns, SURVIVING THE FRONTIER explores the grit and gunfire that forged the early years of a man named Reuben Cole.
