Book Overview

"Mark Twain was the first truly American writer, and all of us since are his heirs." - William Faulkner

This elegant collector's edition presents Mark Twain's classic novel, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, featuring gold cover embossing and gilded page-edges.

Mark Twain's classic of smalltown life along the banks of the Mississippi features loveable rascal Tom Sawyer and his friend Huckleberry Finn - a social outcast and son of the town drunk. Dogged his nemesis - the villainous Injun Joe - Tom embarks with Huck on a series of boyhood adventures, which include witnessing a murder in a graveyard at dead of night, running away to become a pirate and hunting for buried treasure in a haunted house. Twain paints a wonderfully droll and idyllic picture of rural Missouri as his quick-witted hero keeps weaving his way into, and out of, trouble.

This beautiful pocket-sized gift edition contains the classic and unabridged text, presented with a gold embossed cover design, ivory pages, beautifully designed endpapers and gold gilded page edges. Part of the Arcturus Ornate Classics series, this book makes wonderful gift for any lover of classic literature.
