Book Overview

by Jacksonville Arts & Music School (Author)

In The Book of Lost Magic, four teenagers from different worlds find themselves on a hero's quest to find a book that will take them home. Mira is from Earth. Super-powered twins Kai and Kam are from the Kingdom of Aeolus. After falling through a portal, the three find themselves transported to Pollutio, a world forged from trash, where they run into a lonely orphan named Bash.

Far away from home and unsure of the rules of the new world, Kai, Kam, and Mira must rely on Bash for help. The four make a plan to retrieve a magical book from the lair of Apollyon to get home. But Bash is already home.

Why does he want the book?

What happens next will test each teen as they discover new friends (or enemies) as they navigate the desert of scraps.

Written and illustrated by the Jacksonville Arts & Music School students of House Savage, The Book of Lost Magic is a tale that explores the meaning of friendship. Kai, Kam, Mira, and Bash go from questioning each other, to learning to trust, and working together to defeat the evil Apollyon who would want nothing more than to eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
