The Man With The Lunch Pail - Paperback

The Things We Carry

Some men carry briefcases.

Some carry tools.

Some carry nothing but time and regret.

Malik learned early that what a man

carries isn't always about what's in his

hands.

It's about what he leaves behind.

Growing up, Malik didn't understand why

his father's lunch pail mattered so much.

It was just a dented metal box with a

handle that rattled when you shook it. Itwasn't expensive. It wasn't new. It didn't

look important.

But somehow, that lunch pail held weight.

It showed up every morning at the same

time.

It disappeared every afternoon at the same

time.

And it came home every evening-

sometimes heavier, sometimes lighter, but

always present.
