The Monster and the Triangles - Paperback

by Madelyn Dean (Author), Brittany World Studios (Illustrator)

The Monster and the Triangle is a heartwarming children's picture book that teaches valuable lessons about kindness, courage, and problem-solving. Set on a familiar school bus ride, the story introduces young readers to a group of shapes who must learn how to treat one another with respect.

When the triangles begin bullying the circles by poking and scaring them, the bus becomes an uncomfortable place. Everything changes when a friendly monster steps in-not to frighten anyone, but to help find a solution. With teamwork and creativity, the shapes discover a peaceful way to stop the bullying and make the bus safe for everyone.

This engaging story uses colorful shapes and gentle humor to help children understand emotions, conflict resolution, and the importance of treating others with kindness. It is ideal for classroom read-alouds, social-emotional learning discussions, and early childhood literacy development.

Perfect for parents, teachers, counselors, and caregivers, The Monster and the Triangle encourages young readers to stand up for others and work together to create a safe and caring community.

Written by Madelyn Dean, a proud member of the Memphis Parks and Literacy Guild and a 2026 Finalist, this heartwarming tale reminds children that even small acts of bravery can make a big difference.

The triangles had been teasing and poking the circles for far too long, leaving them frightened and rolling away in fear. But with courage, teamwork, and a clever idea from a friend named Square, the monster showed everyone that problems can be solved peacefully-and that kindness is stronger than bullying.
